The Powder Puff Explosion

Loose powder is one of those products that can either save the look or completely betray you.
This day? It betrayed me.

The client was already dressed — full glam outfit, all black, sleek as ever. I reached for the
loose powder to set her under eyes. Simple, routine, nothing wild. Until the puff slipped.

Somehow, the container flipped mid-air. A whole cloud of translucent powder came raining
down — all over her lap, her top, her brand-new blazer. It looked like she’d been working in a
bakery instead of getting ready for a photoshoot.

She froze. I froze. Then we both tried to brush it off, which of course only smeared it deeper
into the fabric. The stylist in the corner started laughing so hard she had to step out of the
room. Meanwhile, I was silently cursing every loose powder jar ever made.

Eventually, I grabbed a lint roller and managed to salvage most of it, but the photoshoot
started late. The client cracked a smile eventually, but I’ll never forget the look she gave me in
that first powdery moment. Pure horror.

Lesson learned: never open loose powder near an all-black outfit. Tap light, hold steady, and
for the love of glam, keep a lint roller in your kit.
