The Glitter Beard

Glitter is cute until it decides to ruin your whole setup. This shoot was supposed to be simple
— just a little shimmer highlight, nothing crazy. We’re talking subtle, soft glam, catch-the-light
kind of stuff.

Model’s sitting there calm, I tap the brush, place the glitter… and then — boom — he sneezes
like he’s trying to blow the walls down. In one second, my perfect little sprinkle of sparkle
turned into a full glitter storm. His cheeks, his jaw, his shirt, and yeah… straight into his
stubble. Dude was rocking a full-on glitter beard.

Everyone froze. The stylist’s dabbing with tape, muttering about how it’s never coming out.
And the photographer? He’s literally covering his gear to keep the glitter from getting inside.
Meanwhile, the model looks in the mirror, strokes his chin, and goes: “Guess I invented the
glitter beard trend.”

At that point, what do you even do? I tried wipes, brushes, even a clean spoolie. Nope. Glitter
doesn’t leave — it just multiplies. So I leaned back and said, “Screw it, let’s own it.” I dusted a
little more to make it look intentional, and boom — suddenly we’re shooting like it was planned the whole time.

The photos? Fire. The chaos? Legendary. And me? I’m still finding rogue flecks of glitter in my
kit to this day.
